Stair master

Katie adores stairs these days and is happy to climb up and down for hours (if we'd let her). At least she's getting pretty good at it so we're not as worried about a tumble.

It's funny... the second I saw those stairs I knew EXACTLY where Katie was. Your mom's house is so imprinted on my memory :)

Why I blog... (by Dorothy)

For many years, "blog" was a dirty word to me. I didn't follow blogs and I never imagined myself writing one.
But that changed in 2009 when I got pregnant and wanted an easy way to keep my family and friends posted on my progress. When Ellie arrived in August, the blog became a great way for me to share pictures and stories — which I know the grandparents and others eat up!
But recently I realized that the blog is important for me, too. It's become an obligation, but not in a bad way. Even when I'm feeling busy and stressed, I enjoy carving out some time every day or two to think about what's new with Ellie and our family. Some of the posts are silly, others are serious. But I already enjoy looking back at the memories recorded here. Thanks for joining us for this crazy ride!
