Ellie's favorite thing these days is definitely her thumb. She uses it to help put herself to sleep at night, and to stay asleep when she wakes up in the middle of the night. Brian and I are huge fans of it, too, because it's helped her sleep straight through the nights for more than a week now!We've been warned by some people that thumb-sucking can lead to problems down the road... but for now we're just happy that Ellie is happy. I don't really see how we could stop a three-month-old from sucking her thumb anyway :) So we give two thumbs up to Ellie's new favorite activity!

ReplyDeleteAww, she's such a doll. Johnny won't take to his thumb, but is an occasional fan of the binkie and a HUGE believer in sucking on his entire hand. We have a lot of wet sleeves around here. Megan's right... she is cuter in every picture. : )
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Ellie also loves to suck on her hand and generally slobber everywhere. They started putting a bib on her at "school" because the front of her shirt kept getting so wet :)
